Cobb AP and Catless dp

Hello, I recently bought an 05 wrx a couple of months ago. Now I bought the car completely stock except for an aftermarket perrin downpipe.
Now I was having some trouble trying to figure out which DP i had exactly, but I've figured its a perrin catless dwg, perrin dosent make them any more. Ive included some pictures just in case I am wrong.
Anyways, when I bought the car I assumed it was tuned for the dp, but I realized the guy never told me if it was or not. (The car has been running fine so far) I tried emailing/calling but never got a response.
I was thinking of buying a v2 ap, but I've heard issues about boost creep with a catless dp.
SO I was thinking of running this, please tell me if it's a horrible idea and if I will break my car: 91 octane stage 2, then datalog, if i'm exceeding boost then 91 octane stage 2 LWG.
My area has 93 octane but I'd rather choose 91 to be safe. Also, is stage 2 alright even though my exhaust is stock? To be honest I'm not looking for that much more power, I just want my car to run better.

thanks! sorry if tldr.

there are a lot of good examples of this in this forum...
AccessPort - NASIOC

it seems that the cobb ots maps arent meant for catless dp's but a lot of people still run them. some people run them without problems some get boost creep. read up.

Nobody Will be able to tell you if your going to overboost. Its just something you Will have to try (although I don't recommend straying from the map notes which call for a catted dp) before you Will know for sure. I don't think there is a lwg map for 05. There wasn't one for my 06. You should always run premium fuel like 93 if available. A cheaper option for you would be to get a open source tune.

I think you may have the octane ratings mixed up.

Remember that 93 has a HIGHER resistance to knock than 91 does and is therefore safer to use if you have access to it.

The COBB 91 octane maps are a little more conservative in terms of ignition timing and a few other things to compensate for the lower octane rating. If you decide to use the 91 maps you should be fine using any octane 91 or HIGHER. If you decide to use the 93 maps however you should NOT use octane lower than 93 if possible.

Like kamikaze said: some people have success using the OTS maps with catless downpipes, others may have issues, I think it really depends on the specific downpipe design and other variables.
