Can't tell exactly, if it's just on the surface, it needs a good sand and buff.
But if it's the clear lifting, than it needs striped down and re-cleared, this could be very pricy.

Dont!!!, I just got on my computer and now that I can see that your through your clear already.. It needs to be resurfaced. Sucks, but that's what happens to cheaper carbon fibre parts

Most carbon fiber part brands need to be clearcoated before installation. They come with a gel coat which is NOT the same thing.

More cost effective? Still got the stock trunk? I bet it's lighter.

To resurface and bring back the cf look, your looking at paying someone for quite a few hours of labor.
I'm gonna side with Mosc and say that your probably better off putting your old one back on if you got it. And yeah, I second that its probably lighter as well.
Your CF parts are just wrapped CF, NOT molded CF. So your layers of fiberglass with your layers of CF on top + a gel coat is heavier than your stock pieces.
The average WRX hood is about 2 pounds lighter than an average CF hood. Subaru spent tons of money giving us great pieces from factory. The aluminum hood included.

PS. my old CF hood is in my scrap pile. I drove 1.5 hrs and paid 150 for a used factory hood. And I love it 1000 times more!

Oh YEAH!- Your car is hella sexy man, you dont need those CF parts for it to look good!!!

Send a message via Yahoo to newtothegame
But you could also tell her the car would be safer and lighter (faster) with the stock parts back on, lol. But sorry to hear about your luck. Best of luck with sorting it out.
