catless downpipe question

I have a 2011 wrx wagon, and im thinking of installing a invidia catless downpipe. i have a aem cold air intake, spt catback exhaust, and cobb accessport already. i contacted cobb and they said they dont have a map for the catless downpipe. and that i would have issues with boost creep or uncontrolable boost. what can i do to make sure this doesnt happen and where can i get a map for this upgrade.

You can try a custom tune to tune it out but, that didnt work for me. Your other options would be to port your wastegate or get a external wastegate. I went external!

Cheaper and less headache to just get a caTTED dp though.

how does the ewg work? do i have to remove the wastegate from the stock turbo or do you just bolt on the ewg?

You have to get a uppipe with a flange that accepts a wastegate and either weld your wastegate closed or get a bracket to hold it closed.

An EWG will help with an AP type setup, but like mentioned there's more than just the EWG needed. I'd recommend a dyno/street pro tune over an off the shelf blanket map from an AP. Then you can ditch the EWG thoughts and spend that money saved on a better tune to run with. Not saying an AP is a bad idea by any means, just saying there's other options to consider also. Either way I too would try an sway you on a Catted DP instead. There's VERY minimal gains given by going catless and you'd also have to deal with constant exhaust fumes and inspection problems. The couple extra hundred dollars spent will be worth it trust me. You can just use the money saved by not getting an EWG and boom...you haven't even spent more than originally thought and you also get a pro tune. Problem solved lol! Either way I want pics OP.

Speaking of pics....Is there somewhere on this site that tells how to upload pics? I have still never figured out how. Do you have to host them from another site? Sorry for the off topic.

Easier to host from photobucket or whichever.

If you use the app it's an icon while typing...it's crazy easy! That's why I never use my pc.

All options of which thrown him right back to needing a custom tune.
