Can I run without an O2 Sensor

So, I just got my invidia V2 DP installed but, taking the O2 sensor out of the oem DP, we found the threads unbelievably stripped. It wasn't possible to put it back into my new DP so i'm running without an O2 sensor right now! Is it ok to run without this? And is it possible to clear the CEL with my AP?

The AP should clear any Cat CELs so running without it should be cool. Just be sure to plug the bung with a bolt or something. Alternatly you could try to run a die down the threads to see if it wouldbring them back.

So am I supposed to do something so that AP clears the CEL? Cause I did the Reset ECU thing but the CEL just came back on around 20 miles later.

You will need to trick the ECU into thinking the O2 is there

I thought the AP was supposed to delete CEL's, or does that only apply if the o2 sensor is installed and your running a catless downpipe. I never ran my car without a o2 sensor so I'm really not sure.

You could try helicoil.

Also, I'll move this for you. It's in the wrong forum.

Ok thanks everyone I guess I do have to have something plugged in to get my AP to clear the CEL. Since my threads are completely stripped on the sensor, do you guys think it will work if i just cut off the sensor part and just plug in the plug? Then i can plug the hole with a bolt or something.

You shouldn't run the car without it. If all else fails trying to repair it, get a different downpipe.
