Well, first of all, you didn't throw out a price. But,

NO! NO! NO!

Don't buy modded. Unless he is getting a stupid good deal, and I'm guessing he's not if he's having his cousin help him make the decision, then no. It's a headache.

What does that have to do with anything?Somebody probably traded it in on something.Unless you know ALOT about working on OBDII forced induction cars, don't buy a modded one.First thing is it has a boost controler.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

You dont know if the guy that had it before was a total dumnass or something.

He might not of known how to tune it correctly... anything and everything can be wrong on that thing...

i am living proof you shouldnt but a modded car

mine cost me a $3500 tranny in the first 6 months, and my engine just quit, another 3-4 grand there

not worth buying a modded car

Dude, sorry to hear that. But I did the SAME thing. Tranny after 3 weeks. And I just did my engine. 7 grand so far, above the purchase price. The bugs still aren't worked out wither. Ya, you really save yourself money buying the car pre-modded.

This is another reason as to why I plan on buying a wrx wagon..... They are more likely to have been less abused by previous owners... And 95% of wagons out for sale are stock, instead of 50% of sedans that are stock...

I wouldn't buy a wrx that was modded even a little. This thing that he's looking at has been modded in almost every department; except tranny.......

come on mosc, im sure hes just trying to help...anyways the fact is you cant judge the book by its cover...a stock subie driven by a fool would be in worse shape than a heavily modded one( and personally i dont consider that one anywhere near heavily modded) driven by some one who can drive...you never know..a used car will always be a used car..full of mess from the previous owner
