Totally excited. Picked up my 1st Subaru yesterday. Brand spankin new 2013 WRX. I have heard conflicting reports on how I should drive for the first 1k miles or initial break in period. I figured this would be the best place to ask. While I'm asking questions, what would be some good initial mods to increase power without voiding warranty?
I just went through the same thing. Just keep it around 3-4k till 500 then 4-5k till 1000 in mileage. Then I changed my oil at 1000 and began mods. You can look at my profile for a list of minimal mods for a stage 2 setup. Like mentioned, anything like what I've done or that will give you performance is def gonna void that warranty. Everything on Subarus needs to be professionally tuned by either an Access Port made by Cobb or a dyno/street protune. So if you'd like to keep your warranty I'd recommend light suspension and visual mods for now. Up to you though. Welcome to the forum btw!
