Brake Advice/Help

Ok so I recently bought a 2013 WRX and have about 2K and counting on the car. What I am curious about is the "feel" of the brakes on the 13. When I intially brake the car stops fine, but toward the end of stoping the car the brakes feel like they are less and less effective... Is this a normal thing for Subaru, or the WRX in general? I am thinking about taking it to the dealer but feel like they will just tell me that it is normal. any helpful input would be appreicated (sp). THANKS

Although unlikely since your car is so new, it's possible that there might be a tiny bit of air trapped in your brake lines. You might be able to convince the dealer to bleed the brakes for free since the car is so new and it's a simple and inexpensive job. Or if you're mechanically inclined and you have access to some basic hand tools, a jack, and jack stands (or access to a lift), you could bleed the brakes yourself (just make sure to bleed them in the correct order).

A relatively inexpensive and very popular upgrade for these cars is stainless steel brake lines. Coupled with some nice fresh synthetic brake fluid, they'll stiffen up your brake pedal feel ;)

good to know, I will talk to the dealer, I would do it myself but my work schedule kinda sucks for having free time. 12 hours on 12 hours off. haha
