The best advice I can give you is to use the gas pedal as sparingly as you can. If you redline it, you'll be getting "bad" gas mileage. Also, every time you use the turbo in full boost, even if you don't redline it, you'll be getting "bad" gas mileage. In theory, a turbocharged vehicle can get better gas mileage than an identical car without a turbocharger because a turbocharged engine works more efficiently. I believe this issue has also come up before, so try to use the "Search" function next time you have a question and if nothing has been posted about the particular topic, post away!

Less gas petal = more fuel efficient. Also, less time in neutral = more fuel efficient. Stay in gear longer, don't be too low in a gear where it takes more gas to get the car to start moving.

Generally you'll want to be in the peak torque range of the motor. This will supply the greatest torque with the least fuel. However, you'll also note that it takes more gas to keep the engine spinning if you're not accelerating.

So in other words, be higher in gear when you are accelerating or decelerating and lower in gear when you are coasting. Minimize time in neutral (not talking short shifts here, I'm talking coasting to a stop, coasting in between gears, waiting at interchanges).

Buy a vaccum/boost gauge. You can shift around 4k rpm but the idea is to keep the engine off boost as much as possible. If I do it just right I can do my whole ride to work with only hitting 1-2psi.Boost = fuel.Winter makes it harder to keep out of boost due to the denser air. Also making sure your tires are properly inflated or even a little higher than the factory recommended pressure can give better gas milage as well.I run 36psi in the front and 34psi in the rear.Staying under 60mph helps as well.Any higher will start to induce significant drag on the car.My front spoiler and rear APR diffuser have actually help my gas milage on the highway.

I've been able to squeeze 27.5mpg for an average week of driving out of my wagon(stock). Some of the tips that I have received and have been going by is always keep moving, even in traffic give enough room for you to just roll in 1st gear or if your coming to a red light. Get off the gas and just try to coast to a stop.(when your not moving your getting 0 mpg) When getting off the highway and making turns, I try to use my break as less as possible. I also slowed down my speed on the highway from 75 MPH to 65MPH. (and when I do get upto 65MPH I set the cruse control until I need to get off or have to slow down due to traffic). Hope any of this helps at all. And for shifting I've been doing it from 3000+ rpm if it doesn't hit then I don't shift.

I also been starting out slow from the line. An 18 wheeler could beat me off the line the way I drive when I try to conserve gas
