Another WRX owner from the PacNW

I just picked up a black 05 wrx premium package in excellent condition. Its got 39k on it and is lowered on tein springs but completely stock otherwise. I plan on tuning it a bunch and being active on these boards to learn more since im new.

I intially want to invest into some added performance. Im a 23yo starving student, so with what ive got to spend i want the best bang for my buck. Im thinking about a cobb ap tuner, its rad but what are the alternatives to boost control? I also want to do intake and exhaust with that but am not really sure what direction to go. whats a good inexpensive exhaust/intake system to go with with the ap mapping?

im already in live with the car and cant wait to add to it.

let me know what you guys think

First off welcome to the club. Second, since you dont have too much money, and are new to the subaru world, read and research. Learn the ins and outs of the cars first. Use the search button and read the stickies in the forums. People have been modding and seeking advice for some time. Most things you want to know are out here. EM (engine management) is a good start. You can just throw a boost controller on these cars and expect positive feedback. If you are looking into the AP, check out Cobbs website and read about the AP and the map notes on what each stage consists of bolt on wise.

Your lucky you live in the NW because you can always get a road tune from Dom. DTRacing™ ::# Custom Tuning Services## “Get a Dom Tune!”® he charges 100 dollars to road tune your car, that will save you 600 over a Acessport. or you can get dyno tuned for 350.
