Another exhaust question

I know its another silly question from a noob and seems like im .

If i want to get a bigger catback like maybe 3" do i need to upgrade the down pipe or will the 3" fit on the stock part? I heard that the stock pipes where 2.5 that's why im wondering.

I also heard from someone i know it could be nonsense but having 2 different size pipes could take away back pressure and lose HP? ? ? I tried looking it up but im sure it could just be nonsense i over heard.

thanks guys n or girls.

Just pick up a grimmspeed 2.5 to 3" adapter, it will make sure you won't create a exhaust leak when pairing the two together.

No I don't believe that is true, but I could be wrong.

2.5 to 3 is ok. Until you get a "stage 2" tune, it will be ok.
