Why do you want or need a coilover setup is the question you should be asking yourself. ;)

^ What he said.

What type of racing are you doing and what is your budget?

Or, are you just going for stance and not too worried about drivability?

I know of some really nice wrx's, even on this forum with coil over set ups. And the owners don't mind it, nor think it's really hurting them.

Keep in mind that coil overs need rebuilt more often than a good strut would need replaced, paired with a matching set of springs.

Yeah i was going for more of the stance look, and thanks man what kind of struts and springs would you recomend? Idgaf if i ruin the car, my buddy has a airbagged evo, and it still handles great and can go rallying if needed...

I myself am not sure what brand of struts and springs the Subaru crowd but I am a fan of Bilstein and Eibach. The upgraded springs will lower the car and could give you the 'stance' you are looking for. A airbag suspension is more costly than just upgrading your struts and springs but you can really alter the ride height.

Your budget and the cost of the upgrades as well as the installation cost are the three major factors I would research first. Good luck and keep us updated with your progress. :)
