Nope you can't do a thing with a leased car, nothing mechanical or cosmetic that will permanantly change the car in any way. Welcome to the site but unless you're planning on buying, I wouldn't mod it.

ya, I wouldnt touch the car with ANY mods if u are leasing like the others said...I'm sure that they will do an inspection of the car when your lease is up and any mechanic can tell when you put mods on a car and then turn it back to stock....

oo damn. hah. i asked the dealer, and he had told me that i would be able to put an exhaust, and he recomended it saying that the stock exhaust is too restrictive. at the least the CObb AP would allow to go back to the stock ECU mapping right?

yes, the ap can flash back to the stock map...If the dealer told you you could put exhaust on I would talk to the general manager about it first and get it in writing so they dont try and jack you when your lease is up. Z

different dealerships have different lease restrictions. most don't care as long as its back to stock, or you don't mind paying to put it back to stock when the lease is up and you don't plan to buy it.

The dealership (at least ours here in Michigan) has SPT equipment that IF THEY INSTALL will not void the warranty in anyway.

I would make verify with the dealer that it's ok to use aftermarket parts rather than subaru performance parts (SPT/STI parts).

NIce ride Brother! Just have that dealer install the exhaust like said, and throw a Cobb flash at her. Give us your reviews! Stoked for you on the '08. I hated em, but they are growin on me. Congrats! Cheers!

thats bull. who installed the equipment is irrelevant. its the equipment itself that should dictate warranty status. they are just trying to make the extra $80 an hour in labor.

two different types of warranties maybe? service warranty vs. parts warranty
