Question 2008 vs 2009 sway bars

I've read that that sway bars were uprated along with other suspension parts for the 2009 WRX compared to the 2008. I have a 2008 and want to upgrade to the 2009 spec, using Subaru parts.

What I don't understand is that on opposedforces.com all the model years list the same part number for the sway bars. I want the part numbers for the 2009 upgrades parts.

Were these mods not done by Subaru themselves?

Honestly, you'd be better off going with aftermarket sway bars. Stock sway bars are small.

Like I said, I want to stay stock and descrete, but get the improved 2009 spec.

I'd like to know which part no is listed here as item 21. As it cant be both, unless the press release was untrue about the sway bar.

A bunch was changed from 08 to 09.
Sorry I'm unhelpful, but the dealer could help you greatly.

2008 was a one off year kind of. I invite you to do a lot of reading on many forums as to why most people shoot for the 09 and ten over the 08.

I'm really not trying to be a dick either, just help a fella out

Garage
And you need to stay discreet why? Do parts under the car take away from it's "sleeper" () status?

I agree 1M% and to the OP upgraded sway bars change nothing regarding ride height so your vehicle will still look stock ie the only change will be in your smile as you experience much greater steering response and cornering. Another thing to consider is that you will most likely spend less money on aftermarket sway bars than Subaru dealer parts. I have worked for two dealerships in their service depts and aftermarket is the way to go.

Good luck.
