You should check your manual for maintenance intervals and recommended procedures.

From what I gather, the majority of WRX/STi enthusiasts change their engine oil every 3,000 miles with some type of 5W-30 synthetic oil. However, some choose to use non-synthetic oil and/or wait a little longer to change their engine oil - sometimes up to every 5,000 miles. I change mine every 3,000 (+/- 100) miles with Royal Purple 5W-30, which is a full synthetic oil, and Subaru OEM oil filters. Other than that, every 30,000 miles is a semi-major maintenance milestone and if you're not comfortable working on your own car, you should probably consider taking it somewhere to have the services performed at those mile marks. If you take pretty good care of your car and follow the recommended maintenance in the link turmic posted, your car should last you well over 100k miles.
If you want recommendations for brands of anything else, feel free to ask.

It certainly doesn't hurt. lol. Its good to see women taking a interest in cars. It might slowly allevate the questions of why do you waste your money on the car. lol.
Here's a hint for attracting interested from female members. Stop going "OMG A GIRL!" and stop making their gender a discussion point on every thread they make.
