'14 SWP Hatch

I guess an introduction is in order. My name is Eric, fairly new to the site, I picked up my Hatch a few weeks ago now, and I'm in love. I had a '00 SVT contour for 8+years, and was tired of the monotony of 250hp fwd. I am not sure of the mods I am wanting to do, yet. Probably just the big 3. Seeing how I live in Texas, Cobb is naturally my first go-to. Any other thoughts/suggestions? Oh, here's some pics.

Welcome! Good looking car. Suggestion would be red overlays for your taillights for a simple inexpensive exterior mod. When you know what mods you want to do feel free to ask questions. And whatever you do, do not get a BOV. Only recirculating BPVs.
Second suggestion would be a Cobb accessport, V3 being one of your first major worth while investment.

Just realized, this was not in new member intro. my fault. Obviously I'm a newbie.

And, no BOV for me. I have read plenty.

What's up Eric. Nice ride man!

Cobb v3 is certainly the way to go for your first mod if warranty isn't a concern for you. With that alone you can go to stage1 and get to OE tune off there as it should be. After that you'd get into a downpipe at least for a stage2 setup. Anything after that I'd recommend getting a Protune personally. We can get into more detail when you're ready for that though.

Keep us posted with advancements. Enjoy the new ride.

welcome aboard. I had a buddy with a green SVT Contour, he had his supercharged and it would lay rubber for days. As for mods i'd suggest the Cobb AP first and foremost as engine management.

Beautiful auto, mate. Welcome.

Thanks for the love, everyone. I really appreciate it. That's a big part of why I bought a Subaru, the camaraderie. It's awesome. You never really get that from any other car company. So I suppose Cobb is going to be a reliable source. Also, I watched a video on the red overlays, you're right, makes a huge difference. I think ill order them and put them on when I get the windows tinted. ill post pics after.

Haha getting my windows tinted was my first move as well! Also getting half my sound system em! But yes Cobb is the way to go, I wish I had Cobb right off the bat, might have saved me an engine!!

*Sigh. With much trepidation I have to say I got my first boo-boo the other day. I was turning around in a grass driveway and ran over a huge rock! It was overgrown and I forgot it was there. SMH.

arewmors 12-12-2013 11:08 AM

 Ouch, that looks like it was painful for the car and you!

FodubEric 12-12-2013 11:27 AM

I almost cried. I just sat there for a few minutes just in awe. I actually didn't see the bumper until the next day.

Stitch that bad boy up with a bunch of multi-colored zip tie Xs - battle wounds are awesome!

Or perhaps a nice "ouch" or bandaid sticker?

I did the same thing to my BMW in March, about 2 weeks after I bought it. Lost my thoughts for one second as i was approaching the parking curb, put a very unsightly crack and chipped the paint pretty badly. sucks.... If I do that to the new subie, i'll flip. At any rate, nice sled !!!
