08 wrx at dealer. Looks clean and stock, no heat shield.
About to get my first subaru, silver 08 wrx with 67,000 miles. It ran good drove nice and was in good shape. Everything looked stock and well maintained but after reading the guides to buying a used wrx should I not buy this due to the lack of heat shield? Only odd thing that stuck in my head was when tapping the gas pedal inside it wasn't an instantaneous little rev it paused for a couple milliseconds. Not long enough to make me not be turned on by it but too long that it got my attention. Worth buying? They want 18 for it.
Electronic is slow. If you're used to cable then you probable notice the slowness.
As for 18k that's retail for a premium and retail is always a rip off. If its a base model than retail is 12k and that dealer is insane!!!! Depending on package I'd say 9-15k.
Pulled trigger and bought it. Spent way to much. It's a premium, 67,000 miles and I payed 20,000 yuck. I trailered it back 6 hours home, drove 20 miles and threw a cel p0139, everything appears stock so I'm assuming after checking the sensors wires if it checks out then just replace it? Cleared code twice since I got it. Drives normal though but not gonna drive 600 miles round trip for them to replace a 02 sensor. Any tips on this?
Nope, just that you didn't shop enough, I just had paper work ready to roll on a brand new 2013 base for 23.
Replace that 02 and see what happens I guess. Feel bad for ya, but you live, you learn.
Good luck
