An Sti intercooler won't support a 20g. you'll need a larger intercooler, most would go with a front mount with a turbo that big. Not necessary though, you can get a top mount that will work. speak with the tuner you plan on using. He may want to see larger than 750 injectors and possibly an aftermarket boost control solenoid. Engine mods sound doable on $4000, with the gears I think you'll have to shop around.

The PPG gears are at least $4k by themselves unless they fell off the back of a truck and you got them for black market prices. Let alone you'll have to pay someone to install them most of the time and that'll drive your end price total up to around the $6k price range to have them in your car.

I ran an STI TMIC for +6 months with a TD06H-20G. It was ok, but it was becoming a restriction. A big TMIC (name brand) will support one just fine. I also ran my 20G on 750cc injectors just fine. I was at 83-85% IDC @ 19 PSI and 98% IDC at 24 psi. Keep in mind that IDCs don't necessarily max out at 100%. It's plenty to support the turbo. I have mine for sale BTW (shameless plug ).

And as said, PPGs are the entire budget by themselves.

$4k is not enough for a 20G setup though. Nowhere close. From your list you're spending everything on power and neglecting the most important areas of performance.

Agreed. I know Mosc told me in the past that his Sti top mount was restrictive according to his tuner and data to back that up, with just a 16g. If I were to run a 20, I'd go aftermarket. But the Sti is a good piece for sure.

No balls? Thats kinda harsh judgement. Id say people get brakes and rotors and suspension to help the driving abilities? Not bcuz they are scared ?

Good winter tires with spare wheels can go along way in the snow. It will help keep your car on the road and out of a ditch. What kind of tires are on your car right now?
