This is what I would recommend.

I dont mean to be an a$$, but this is an old question with a lot of answers. There are way too many factors to consider. You need to read and figure out what you want.

A cat-back exhaust is for sound. That's it. It might provide a hint of extra flow but a down pipe and EM is SOOOOO much better. I wish i had found this site before i bought my cat-back. I dont regret it....i love the sound but it's not needed.

I have a Helix downpipe and catback that I use most of the time which I would recommend. I also have a TurboXS downpipe an catback which is only on my car for a little(inspection since it has a cat) and I don't like it as much.

There are more companies than HKS, at first, i was determined to get a HKS turbo-back, but then i found out that HKS' DownPipe isn't really all too great if you plan on upgrading turbos or anything.... I'd recommend a turboXS or Invidia downpipe, then any cat-back exhaust that you like the looks of, since there aren't any real performance differences between different cat-backs.... The HKS Hi-Power is a nice setup and great quality, but you can always get the Invidia Cat-Back or whatever, do some searching around until you find the Cat-Back & downpipe you want....

P.S. - you might want to also look at getting an UpPipe so you can install both the uppipe and downpipe at the same time to save you from further labor, (if you can afford it) Invidia uppipe is nice quality and price......

You have TWO exhaust setups that you change??? How cool is that......

Ive got a 02 also and i went with the Invidia TBE and an Invidia uppipe..love them both and +1 on doing the uppipe at the same time. The trubo spools faster and the throttle response is improved. If you are going to do a downpipe get EM of some sort either a Cobb AP or an opensourcce tune.
