Test drove a 2015 WRX today

Hey guys just thought I'd give you a little insight on a 2015 WRX I got to drive today. First impression was it is really nice and powerful. Right out of the showroom the boost peaks at 18.4 PSI. My 2011 which is tuned stage 2 puts out 18.5. Turbo spools very quick, probably due to the direct injection and twin scroll set up. The digital turbo gauge is a nice touch. So yea it feels very powerful right out the gate and the transmission feels solid. Definitely considering the 2015 in the future. Just figured I'd give you guys my 2 cents on my first impression.

I work at a subaru dealership and one came in from autocross to get winter tires put on. They are bringing it somewhere for reviewers.

2015 Wrx is 268 hp, so three more than currently.

WRX is def 268. But theres a lot of potential with the new engine n turbo set up. And unfortunately the STI engine is unchanged.

A done up FA with forged internals loves to make power. Do I need to pull out my Crawford Performance video?

So wait, they are running 18 psi from the factory and making almost no more power? Doesn't leave much room for improvement without swapping the turbo. Or is this one modded already? You mentioned autocross.

No this car is not modified. Autocross is just the name of the company I think. Yea it does make a lot of boost right away with minimal HP gains which would leave you to think you won't be able to push the turbo much more but I'm thinking (and hoping) the twin scroll and direct injection set up will be able to sustain a lot of PSI once modified. But i don't really know. I guess we'll see.

That's a big assumption on your part given we know nothing about the setup. Older EVOs made 19 psi from the factory, I guess they didn't have potential either.

I'm talking about OTS maps, not race fuel and 30 lbs of boost. Evo's love to make power on stock components anyway, not something subaru has been able to say much.

I see you're point though, not much is known about the set up.

I personally do not like the 15 WRX/STi's.
They went a totally different approach.
Factory Equal Length Headers? Really Subaru?
The Un-Equal Length Headers for all previous WRX/STi models is like a signature for that Subaru Rumble sound.

Secondly rear legroom is almost nothing, i think in a review video the guy said there is about 2 inches of space between your knees and front seat.
I think the style itself is not great. Looking to much like a normal car with a hood scoop.

Im very great full I got my hands on a 14'
