Upgrade your Suspension with Eibach Lowering Kit

Every true car enthusiast wants to get maximum performance while driving. To get the performance car you want, with the right stance and better handling, acceleration and braking, you’ll have to modify your stock car, and there’s no better improvement you can make than installing a lowering kit.

A basic lowering kit consists of a set of coil springs that, when installed, will lower your car’s ride height with 0.8" front and 0.8" rear. These springs are progressive, meaning the coils are spaced differently, which will give you a firm, but comfortable ride with the desired stiffness for cornering and braking. When you install a lowering kit, you’ll “lose the gap” and get the lower, more aggressive stance that you want. A lowering kit will work with the factory tires and wheels, but it will be perfect when combined with a Plus-1 or Plus-2 wheel and tire package. Besides making your car look better, a lowering kit will also make it perform better.

We'd like to draw your attention into Eibach Lowering Kit, designed specifically for just released 2015 Subaru WRX. Eibach has specialized in manufacturing of high-quality springs and related products in all sizes, for all types of industries.

Eibach® 7727.140 - 0.8" x 0.8" Pro-Kit Lowering Kit

- Designed for the enthusiast who prefers a civilized boost of their vehicle’s street handling abilities with the looks of a lower ride height.
- When installed, your vehicle’s ride height will be lowered.
- Springs are progressive to maintain ride comfort during normal driving.

What do I think? I think it's sad these get listed as a performance part instead of a cosmetic one by most vendors and manufacturers. They're designed to lower the car at the expense of handling. Good lowering springs, like the Ebiach ones you sell, keep the lowering to a fairly reasonable level while giving a little bit more spring rate in the estimation that the visual can be slightly improved without overwhelming the stock strut with too small a throw and too much springrate.

I think it's sad there's almost no market for springs that increase springrate with the appropriate drop (as a ratio with the increased springrate) because they wouldn't visually look much different. Customers don't care about handling, they care about looking like they care about handling.

mosc, we really appreciate your opinion. It's true that some of Subaru owners care about the look more than handling (we've seen a lot of crazy dropped WRX STis). However this kit will still save allow you to have a good handling. Cornering will improve because the stiffer springs will reduce dive, and since the car’s center of gravity is lower, you’ll get less body roll. Braking will improve because of less nose dive and you’ll have better acceleration because the car will squat less when you floor it. Your car will be more responsive and react more directly to your input regardless of the situation, with greater predictability.

Ok, great. So the car won't rock around as much in any direction - but what about suspension geometry? I'm with mosc on this one. Cosmetic, not performance.

I'd argue that a good set of tires would be a better improvement than a cosmetic lowering kit. Aftermarket sway bars and endlinks are an excellent improvement over stock also.

Unless you're more concerned about your Instagram pictures, that is.
