Whats needed for STi Struts on WRX 04

I have an 04 WRX sedan.

I'm pretty sure my struts and mounts are shot all the way around... what do i need to put on the sti struts? Im guessing i will get New stock STi struts and mounts... are the spring Necessary immediately or can i use the WRX ones for now.... im a bit low on cash but this needs to be done ASAP... I can get sti springs in the summer if i want. Thanks for any help guys

What year STi?

Has to be the 04 STi struts unless you want to do a lot more modification. 04 STi struts pretty much connect right up, though the top hats may be different I don't remember.

You could run 04 STi struts with WRX springs but I wouldn't recommend it. You can get used STi springs (04-07 works) for <$50.

Ok why wouldnt you recommend it? it will only be short term... does anyone know if i need sti strut tops or wrx strut tops? I havent purchased them yet so year of sti will probably be 04 then from above post recommendation...
