42 MIGHT be ok.... maybe fender rolling... Other guys might chime in as I try to stick as close to OEM as possible on my cars... hell, I even went in .5mm on my current set to 53 (non wrx).

Seeing I've yet to attend a good Subi meet and see for myself, what's everyone's opinion on which one looks better on a Rex? A concave spoke or a straight spoke wheel? I'm looking at a lot of pics and pretty undecided....

The angles aren't exactly the same, but here's a pretty good comparison between 17x9 +42 Rota DPTs w/ 245/40 tires and 17x7 +55 stock 07 WRX wheels w/ 225/45 tires. Although my car is stock height, I still had my front and rear fenders rolled and pulled to ensure there would be absolutely no rubbing. I also have hub centering rings (72.6 mm to 56.1 mm).

Def lookin good! What's the best offset to go with on an 18x8 for a 2013? I'm thinking around 40mm will put the top of the wheel level with the fender. I know the sides will stick past a bit but what I'm looking for is a flush look. Can you confirm that a 40mm will give me that?

Yeah I think there's a stock offset diff between us though. I've read that the stock on a 13' is 50mm. Tire rack also says the same. What's your stock offset and wheel size?

I'm thinking the STR is a little too aggressive for the Rex. Although I love the lip on it

I'll be either putting 225/40 on or 235/40 not sure which one yet. 225 I'll know will fit but 235 is a little more rubber to the road

I'd mention getting spacers if it wouldn't severely compromise your handling and my beloved reputation. So I won't

The Redline Straight Spoke looks a lot like the Rota SVN.

The last two wheels look like they belong on DUB-mobiles... although I kind of like the last one.

18's look at home on third gens. Go wider (and preferably lighter) than stock. Keep the offset reasonable. Maximize the rubber. Roll and pull if you have to. Gotta pay to play, but set it up right and it'll all be worth it. YOLO!!!

That's why I figured I'd ask. Actually found a thread on NASIOC about 11'+ fitting. Everyone was saying the same. Between a 48-45 max should put me where I wanna be. Now if I can find I wheel I like that's NOT a Rota and has those specs I'd be good....
