Smile Rota Grids (17x9) on 05 WRX?

Hi Everyone

pretty basic question just looking to see if a set of Rota Grids would fit well with no rubbing or modifications done. Is the 9" too wide? Would a 225/45-17 tire fit well also? Also if you were wondering my car is Silver haha.

Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 17"
Wheel Width (Inches) - 9"
PCD Bolt Pattern - 5x100
Offset - +42mm
Hub Bore - 73mm
Color - Flat Black

Thank you all who help out, it's greatly appreciated.

If you're running anything less than a 255/40/17 you're doing something very wrong. 225s don't belong on anything larger than a 17x7.5 wheel.

Sedan I assume? You will absolutely need to roll your fenders and possibly a light pull in the rear. A lot depends on your suspension mods.

I'm sorry I'm pretty new to everything but with a stock suspension would a ton of mods need to be done?

It's going to look awkward with so much fender gap. You're gonna need to roll the rears. I would opt for 17x8 +48 Grids. It's a far better fitment and you can fit as much tire as you'll ever need without having to touch the fenders.

No, yes, no.

Prescription:
17x8" +48 235/40R17 and smile through the corners.

Rota Grids (17x9) on 05 WRX?

So with the "prescription" (nice touch by the way) I wouldn't need the fender roll?
