question about wrx/impreza rims

This has probably been asked a million times but I searched and didnt find anything. But newho on a whim my buddy said he'd throw me his rims n tires for 450 flat but they are off of an 07 impreza 2.5rs. I drive an 04 wrx, would these fit? Hes got some nice black ones with a chrome lip and my tires are bald so this is a killer deal for me if it fits.

Same bolt pattern right? Only difference is your tires go from 16" to 17" now.

They fit fine. Note his stock size (215/45/17) is slightly shorter so your gear ratio will get a little shorter. People like that generally on the 5-speed. Anyway, I'd recommend switching to 225/45/17 tires the next time you change if you keep those 07 wrx rims.

It doesn't sound like the donor car is an 07 WRX, but rather an 07 Impreza (base model) - correct? Just make sure you double check the bolt pattern and offset.

I'm not familiar with what rims the base model had in 2007 specifically but it's a pretty safe bet they'll clear 02-05 WRX brakes. You can get 15" wheels over those and backspacing isn't much of an issue. The regular Impreza is 5x100 though so no problems there.

I think they look nice. Some done like the chrome lip, to me just depends on the style of the wheel. I think you cant beat the deal either.
