Lowering 03 wrx?

So I have a 03 wrx and basically did all the power mods that I am looking to do, I have lately been thinking about doing some visuals and the first thing I noticed would be possibly lowering springs to get rid of that wheel gap? I heard some bad things about the struts not being able to handle it and stuff like that and I really am not looking to spend alot of money on visuals so if that's the case I might just go do some of the cheaper things tints, hids, repainting the rims perhaps ect

You can do lowering spring like Tein and all the other brands out there, the only thing is spend some money and buy some struts like KYB or something like that and you will be fine. Do you have some type of EM for your performance mods?

Look into some Eibachs and SPT springs and possibly cobb, with these springs tho you want to upgrade your struts to possibly some used STI struts or something else along those lines. If you put the tien on your going to get a lower car but they have a tendency to be super tough on your struts and are known to blow them.

I am still running the oem ones, and I do have a OTS map right now getting it dyno tuned this upcoming Wednesday, only thing about this is I wasn't really looking to spend a awful lot of money since im not like too crazy about visual mods I just wanted to the cheap things like repainting the rims, HID's/Yellow fogs, Tints and a buddy of mine just put just springs on his integra lowering it about 1.75 all around and for relatively cheap I think like 200 (we got a friend who can do the install)something after installation so I was thinking about doing that with my car as well I just dont want to negatively effect my handling/struts but in the same respect not really looking to spend a ton of money on struts and stuff like that.

No offense here, but a Honduh and Acura's like those you can do cheap mods to, a WRX is a totally different beast and it does not react as well. I would pass on it unless you get something not as aggressive like Eibach's or something or even prodrives.

yah, I know there totally different cars and react differently to things, which is what I said to my friends but they seemed to think otherwise, Alot of people have been recommending prodrives but for the cost of the springs themselves and the cost of installation or even just the effort of me trying to do it myself doesnt seem entirely worth it since its not getting rid of wheel gap or doing that noticeable of a difference just more or less evening the wheel gap.

So in any rate I think I will hold off on lowering the car and just do the cheaper mods not really looking to spend to much more money on the car. Other then regular maintenance
