c'mon gimme some credit.

not sure why so many folks opt for 2nd set of rims for the winter... does the salt really eat through them that bad if you keep em fairly clean?

i think i'll prefer to keep stock rims and if winter yucks em up that bad... just use them as the winter rims and get something new for the summer... something...sexy...

maybe something damn sexy...

ah.... ya I guess I didn't think about that. Sheesh you guys think of everything.

Where would one go about picking up a spare / old set of wheels? junkyard? ebay? And by chance the wheel size for '13 WRX... 17 x 7? 7.5?

I bought my motegi mr118 thru tire rack. W lm60. If you have a WRX, you should drop to a 16" wheel

If you don't have the money you could get steelies which are cheaper than most other wheels. That's what I did, that way I don't have to worry about the weather/salt making them a mess because of it does oh well fol

Tire rack often has <$100 a wheel alloys from china that work well enough for 225-wide winter tires. I'd also check out nasioc's vast selection of lightly used stock WRX wheels.

^ yes just for winter, narrower tires do better in large amounts of snow typically.

aaand you'll almost never be driving in large amounts of snow. Wider tires do better when it's dry. And cold. Like it is for most of the winter.

so how's about maybe putting 16's in the front and 17's in the back, that way the narrow tires hit the heavy snow and mush it down for the 17's.....

I think that's what the RIOT act does no?

Uummmm...You're joking right FOL?! Be careful who/how you quote someone's name/comments. We all have a thing called rep around here

You can run either or but certainly all the same size at one time man.

This guy needs an IP pull Mosc. He's seeming pretty suspect IMO...
