Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110

Anyone using 225/45 17 Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110?
I am looking at getting these and I am just wondering if there is a rubbing problem. I have an 05 WRX sedan with rally armors on it.
Thanks

General consensus is:
-Fine for a DD tire
-Bad for any form of track use

We have no way at all of knowing if they will rub.

ive seen light track out of the Continental DW and the DD is supreme.

some people hate the V12 even on the street.

we need to know suspension setup and wheel for rubbing info. however thats a pretty basic tire and shouldnt rub unless your low and run a 9-10in wheel.

They are going on a set of 17" Rota G force. I have the stock suspension. I had 235/40 ZR 17 BFGoodrich g-Force on it before.

The general consesus on the K12 is that they're pretty good but the sidewalls are too flabby for any kind of serious driving. To help minimize this, you can minimize the sidewall height and put them on larger wheels where there will be less sidewall flex. Are they available in 235/40R17?

I'd go another route... Are they just your summer setup?

Yes, they are only for the summer. I have my stock rims for the winter.
Why do you think I should go another route? Any suggestions? Trying to keep it under $150 a tire.

If they are just for summer, then they would prob be ok for DD only.

I personally loved my old KDW2's or the RE760's.

But I only use one set of tires all year long

IMHO... for the hankooks... 110.00 a tire is a good deal.

I agree with Paul's rec on the KDW2's and the Potenza 760's. The Conti DW's are equally flabby on the sidewall as the Hankooks but between the two, I'd rather have the Hankooks. The compound is more modern, should give better lateral grip and last longer to boot.

I have an 08 wrx sedan and I put the v12 on mine. I went from the stock 205/50/17 to a 215/50/17. For the cost overall these tires are awesome. Great handling even in the rain. Even going with a 215 body roll was cut a bit but Im still gonna go with a strut tower bar.

the 215 does not rub at all. Does not come close even with tight turns or weight in the car. If it helps at all!

A strut tower would do absolutely nothing for you because that's not even what they help with. You want sway bars.
