EBC versus Project Mu

Hey guys,

So I'm doing pads all the way around on my 04 WRX. I'll be staying on stock rotors for the time being until switching to probably slotteds in the spring. I drive pretty hard and am looking to rallycross when I have the time. Right now I have it down to Project Mu B-Force pads and EBC Yellowstuff 4000 series pads. I like Project Mu and have had great experience with them in the past, but the EBCs seem like excellent pads based on what I've been reading.

Stick to blank rotors. Whatever is local and cheap.

And I recommend Ferodo DS2500s.

Just know that with "race" type pads and compounds, their benefit only really kicks in when the rotors are very warm. This means, when you are driving in the rain, they are going to suck a whole lotta awful. So make sure you do a lot of reading if you are going to invest in a track type pad. I have EBC Red Stuff pads. My main reason for going with them is the minimal amount of brake dust. I have used EBC on my GSX and now my WRX, so I love them. Can't comment too much on the other pads.

I currently use Hawk HPS pads all around and I think I'll be switching to Hawk HP+ when these wear out. Blank rotors for me, although I really like the slotted and/or cross drilled rotors look.
