dont no what tires to use!

hey i got a question about tires. i got a 04 wrx lowerd and right now i got brand new fuzion hri's on with about 7k miles on them. at the shop i work at some person had winter tires and they wanted them taken off and thrown away. they are good year eagle ultra grips(full winter tires) they got about 7 to 8 32nd tread in the center and about 5 to 6 on the outside. only prob is that two of the tires are cupped.

I live in Jersey so i get good amount of snow. now is it worth it to switch out the HRI's for the ultra grips for the winter??? i can put them on my self by the way. thanks for your feed back

A winter tire is dead at anything below 6/32. Seems like they're not worth mounting to me.

Yeah, I'd be concerned with safety at that point. Although your Fuzion All Seasons don't get great winter ratings, they're almost brand new so you're probably better off with those than the used/cupped Good Years.

I recommend you stick with a performance winter. They're much better in dry conditions than a pure winter (often called "studless winter") and with AWD, you shouldn't be getting stuck with a performance winter. Bridgestone LM-25 and Dunlop Wintersport 3D are my favorites
