2002 wrx hit curb, bent lower control arm

I am considering trying to fix this myself and was looking around for a used lower control arm. It apears there was a problem with them rusting out. So I guess I have to go with a new one which is 300 bucks but probably the way to do it anyways. The dealer says the part number changed sometime in 2003 and is probably a different size. There is a site selling pairs of used aluminum JDM 02-05 Subaru WRX STI Front Lower Control Arms for around 260 shipped. These should fit right? Is there a better way to go on this? Thanks.

Buy from the dealer or used. I'd stand clear from eBay control parts

Yeah, I'd be skeptical. How many miles were on the donor car? What kind of miles were they? How much life is left in the moving parts? Was the donor car in a wreck? Are the parts warped or bent?

Based on the pictures, they look ok, but you have to ask yourself: are you willing to risk installing a potentially damaged vital part on your car in exchange for saving a few dollars?

If you're paying that much, might as well upgrade and get it from a reputable source.
