2 different tires

I got a flat the other day. What are you guys thoughts on using a different brand tire but the same size for a couple of months until I can afford another one? Is it ok to replace only one when I can afford to get another of the same brand? What are the tollerances for tredwear from one tire to another? Is it ok to only replace 2 tires o the same axle (i.e. 2 front or 2 back)? Thanks for any feedback!

Deepth matters also, I cant recall what the tolerance is. Its not a good idea to run 3 tires of one type and a 4th different, and with different tread depth. It will screw up your diff(s).

That sounda about right 09azwrx. But I would also imagine that it would be better than the donut. I wouldnt drive on either for too long though.
