Have been looking at maybe putting 235/40/18 on these rims just not sure if they will run or not with my springs all fenders will be rolled tho

you should stay shorter than stock on the 5-speed. If you want 235 on 18" wheels, the correct sidewall choice is 35, not 40. If that scares you due to road conditions or cost, get 17" wheels.

Haha I know mosc I already have 17's and not really worried about the gearing with a 235/40 on the 18x8.5.

Not worried about gearing? What are you going to do, mount them on the wall? If the car is moving, the gearing is pretty f-ing relevant isn't it?

What I'm saying is that a 225/40/18 is only 1.9% difference it's my daily driver with no track time, no rally, and no auto cross. A 235/40/18 is 3.2% difference off. A big difference from stock I agree completely but I'm not afraid of the consequence when going to a different diameter

Maybe I will go with a 235/35 or a 245/35 but as of now it's a 235/40 or 225/40
