Question V Belt Guide Tool Part # ?

So I have a lightweight crank pulley I want to install and was wondering if anyone new what the part number was for the v-belt guide tool was? The 2008 wrx does not have a tensioner on the rear belt , so you have to aquire the parts from subaru to put it back on correctly , because its a stretch fit belt .

put as much of the belt on the pulleys as you can . then just tap the key so the engine kicks over but does not start. kind of like a bicycle chain.

Well, I've got news for you pal, you know Jack and shit... and Jack just left town.

Why do you ask for help if you're going to spit on the face of somebody who tries to help you? The 08's motor is almost identical to the 06-07 which itself is not that different than the EJ20 that preceded it. nagyhead has worked on lost of cars BESIDES his own. Your motor is not revolutionary, original, or more complex than what he's experienced with. Get over yourself ffs.

Also, quit double posting, it's rude.

never on a 2008 wrx, but on many, many other cars. i work at a shop that has a huge amount of cars in an out. like mosc said your engine is basically the same as mine, nothing special except for that sweet plastic intake manifold.

It's from Army of Darkness (1992). It's 100x better with Bruce Campbell's delivery.

So I'm converting the stretch type to a tensioner setup like the 07 models have , so in the future I dont have to pay out the ass for a stretch fit belt and its easier to install and adjust for the future . I will post pics and a how to when I have time over the weekend .
