That would be nice if they fit on our IC. I currently have the forge bpv with the same spring you do and both shims in mine.

You were tuned by Bren...same as me. I talked to both Matt and Tom from Wicked Innovation today and also Chris from DynoTech and they both tune with only the yellow spring.

Have you ever had any flutter issues Andy? I'm just confused why it is that I'm just getting flutter now and not from the get go?.?.weird!

I'm currently Cobb stage 2+aem ots map. I don't believe I've had any flutter issues. I have to listen to your sound clips you posted still. I haven't had a chance yet. I hope I haven't had any and thought it was normal.
I'm still trying to fully understand and get a grasp of this flutter thing.

Update! Please help!

So I took the x2 shims out last night and didn't notice much of a difference with the flutter. Didn't have any light left so I left it alone.

My GF just called me and said she had taken my car out and the car went into limp mode with all the dash lights on.

is going on?! A CEL and the car going into limp mode would be because I took the shims out right?.?.

I told her to obv stay outta boost and get it home ASAP! When I get home I plan to go to the auto part store and have my codes pulled. I'll post the results. Any Ideas in the mean time would certainly be appreciated though. This is getting ridiculous!

How many tanks of gas have you put in the car since this has started happening?

None. I fueled up before I left for that trip on Saturday and haven't filled it since.

Any way this is tune related?.?.

Just pulled the code. P0451

Checked the gas cap which was tight and also just reset the ECU after clearing the code. Drained all memory out with brake too.

Soooo...you know I'm gonna ask lol! Why is my air pump bad on a 13' with only 7k on it? Mods/tune caused premature death or something?.?.

I've been reading threads about it and no one ever explains....

Why it's bad in the first place?
Able to pass state inspections after?
Re-Tune needed after?

The cleaned up engine bay will be great, and I suppose 10lbs is 10lbs. But it looks like a PITA from what I've watched/read!

2nd Gen stock BPVs will not fit on a 3rd gen WRX....because the 3rd Gens are LGT turbo layout based and the TMICs are different. Further more the 3rd Gen stock BPVs are plastic and utter shit after a stage 2 tune. Oh yeah...and the flange is totality different because of it being LGT based.

How many times do I have to mention the LGT turbo layout lately? FAWK!! LOL <---hidden message
