You know that I had to think of this thread. When I saw a 08-09 outback today. Guess what? Only a single exhaust cutout. I know, I know....way too much work to buy a N/A car's bumper just to get the "fix". But, its about the only way I know.

I was thinking if you took the bumper into a auto body shop maybe they would be able to remove the piece of the bumper in between the exhaust outlets. not sure if it could even be done or how it would come out.

I know the late 90's early 00's honda accord's have those cut-out dummy pieces if it does not have dual exhaust. Not sure if they would fit but worth a try maybe.

So I really like the Invidia N1 exhaust, but I have a question concerning some of their downpipes.

note: I am still kinda new to this so this question may be a bit newbish.

They offer a downpipe with a CAT and one without it; I would like to buy the one without it for the fact that is a couple hundred dollars cheaper. Is not having a CAT on the downpipe going to cause me to fail inspections? Void my warranty? Are there really any performance gains/losses from having a CAT on the downpipe?

Here’s a link to the downpipes

CobbTuning.com - Exhaust Design that explains exhaust design and a little about cats.

Failing inspection varies from state to state and some instances county to county within the state. Check with your local DMV for that.

No problem. Basically it says that catted versus catless is neglible unless you are wanting to get the last little bit of power out of your car generally. Now as far as voiding warranty thats a tricky thing there. Basically whatever you go in for warranty for, SOA ahs to prove taht the DP or whatever attributed to the problem. And again the inpection depends on your local laws.
