For those 08+ WRX who question Intake silencer Delete!

Subaru WRX intake silencer delete option! FOR 2008+ models - YouTube

Here's a video of what i did to my 2011 WRX! i know a lot of people have been trying to do the intake silencer delete but to find out they actually dont have one! This will work for 2008-current WRX models. If you have something negative to say keep it to yourself! Subaru owners on all forums have been asking about the newer WRX intake silencer delete, so i thought id be nice to share what i did. I'll be going stage 1 pretty soon with Cobb SF intake real soon!
let me know if this helped you guys! (=

That's not a silencer....that's the actual airbox.

I meant to use the word air box, but you get the point! Its usually where intake silencer would be and people call it the "intake silencer delete mod."

My only gripe is the whole video was how to with no actual results!

Seems like an easy enough mod for guys that want the sound (albeit less of a sound) but don't want to buy an intake and get tuned.

I know. I'm just trying to clear up confusion as in no possible way could this be considered a silencer delete.

This is a silencer delete.

Lots of other auto communities use the same airbox mod for budget modification.
