Thinking about a TMIC. for my 09 wrx hatchback.

Currently I am at stage 1 with AEM intake, Cobb AP and UEGO wideband. This April I will be upgrading to X-Force Catted 3" downpipe, to 3" straight pipe, Cobb 3 port boost solenoid, and Turboxs 50/50 hybrid valve.

I've just started doing some research on a TMIC, and I would just like to know from you guys, what other additional parts it'll take for the intercooler to work properly with my engine. For example; you need the UEGO wide band with an intake to measure your air/fuel ratios.

So, in addition with the TMIC, what else would I have to get.

Thank you in advance for the feedback.
I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say!
Thanks!

Hey man,

For our generation the TMIC intake layout is different from previous years. Keep that in mind.

As far as what you will need.. a quality TMIC will come with a full install kit. Here's an example:
Top Mount Intercooler Kit - Subaru 08-14 WRX, 05-09 Legacy GT - GrimmSpeed

As far as tune goes, in theory you might get by without a tune for the intercooler only in particular, however with all the other mods you plan to put on, you will need a pro-tune so you might as well do it all at the same time. Although a tune might not be required specifically for the intercooler, to really utilize it you would definitely want a tune. The charge that is more efficiently cooled down will allow you to run slightly more advanced timing (more power) on top of running more air by default (cold air is more dense you would gain a little bit of power just by bolting it on).

As far as a wideband... yes, it's always good to have one to monitor your AFRs.
