Thermo Tec Exhaust Insulating Wrap

Anybody have the exhaust insulating wrap? i'm just wondering how much of it i am going to need to do my full turbo back exhaust on my 09 WRX. And how much hi-temp coating and snap straps are going to be needed with it.

Any reason you're doing the full turbo back? There's zero reason to do it below the bend in the downpipe, and it will quickly fall apart from exposure to the elements.

The areas you want to wrap are all pre turbo exhaust piping, as well as the downpipe to the bend below the turbo. For that, you can make do with 2 50' rolls, you only need straps for the ends of each pipe, and I just use hose clamps since they're usually cheaper than those SS ties. One can of high temp paint will probably do the exhaust mani, up pipe, and downpipe.

You don't want to coat and then wrap your DP. I remember back in the day guys were getting condensation issues.... Don't know if it was the coating used OR ceramic coating then wrapping it.

IF anything... wrap and then spray with silicone (can't remember who sells it). DEI maybe?
