Lol! To each their own though. I honestly don't think anyone should be as ridiculous as I know I am sometimes about certain things. If someone installed a part themselves, and did it to the best of their abilities, that's all that matters...

Looks great! You're not the only one, that gap would have bothered me too. Lol

Yeah soon as I seen it I had to figure something out. I googled pics of other front lips and it seems every one of them has it too. That's why I figured the bracket was def the problem.

Ditched the universal NRG knob today and installed the Cobb fitted with the retainer ring for the shifter boot. Tired of the NRG knob coming loose once a week! The Cobb sits at least 1/2" lower than the NRG knob too 👍

Looks Good B,

I'm glad you were able to get the knob you wanted.

I like the new knob. It looks more stylish because it is subtle.

I like the COBB knob too. I've got the one with the blue COBB collar, because of my WRB WRX.

My lip has the gap, but it doesn't bother me too much.
And it's not noticeable unless your looking for it.

I installed mine the same way you did yours, except I used clips for quick removal

Appreciate it man, and thanks for trying to help. The big guys and their free shipping kinda kill it for others. I'll def hit you up again though and WILL share business at some point.

So I was cleaning out my car parts room in the basement the other day and found my heatshield that never got re-installed after my jump to stage 2. So I decided to stop procrastinating, mod it, and put it back on to accomodate my turbo blanket. Here's some links and pics off the OP link, and pics of my own outcome. Hope you all like.

Here's the link to where I found the mod "how-to" idea earlier this week...
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/how-inst...-mouth-dp.html

Pics off the above link of where to mark your heatshield for cutting...

Now after seeing my hideous stock heatshield again I decided the symbol of the "X Hand" had to go! So along with cutting my housing wider to accomodate the bellmouth Invidia DP, I used my angle grinder with a carbide bit on it to mil that area down. And after using a softer sanding pad got the whole emblem off and looking good. Then I hit it with a satin black.

Now I'm waiting for paint cure so I can throw I vinyl on there of some sort and clear it. I'll post those pics ASAP.
