Got rid of the P.O.S Droid 2 Global... Come on Motorola, come out with a good phone for once!

On subject:

Due to weather delaying deliveries I will be receiving my 11' STi wing, Supertones and Perrin 3" shorty on the 17th.

Monday ordering:
Cobb SF Intake + Air box

Most likely will be recirculating the HKS BOV this week sometime.

Update 02/17/11

STi wing, Perrin 3" shorty antenna, Lightning Red paint and Hella Supertones will be here today. Direct bolt on flange for the BOV has been ordered. My Cobb SF Intake + Airbox should be shipped today and should be here Monday.

I will further update with my results of the intake.

Found the Cobb SS on a different website. May go ahead and order that also. The throws on the stock shifter are hella long.

After, this I think I am going to focus on the suspension. Any suggestions? Thinking BC Racing coilovers (8kg/8kg)

Do you have sways yet? Start there. Im not sure whats out there for the 3g cars, but I recently rode in a pretty much track prepped and built 08 STI with JIC coilovers on the roads in and around Chicago. I must say I was impressed at how well the car felt even over some of the holes in the road.

No sway bars yet. I am ordering the Perrin sways soon. Probably looking at a order time frame of March 1st give or take 5 days. I will do some research on the JIC's.

No delivery yesterday! Some crap about adverse weather in Odessa! Will be here today though. I will post the pics this weekend.

Suspension:
Perrin 22mm Rear sway bar
Perrin 25mm Front sway bar
Perrin Front Endlinks
Perrin Rear Endlinks
Whiteline differential mount inserts
Whiteline steering rack bushings
Whiteline anti-lift/caster kit

Then of course the coilovers...

On the other hand, the ole lady got in the car yesterday and was messing with my radio settings, turned up the bass and I told her not to do that cause the stock speakers are crap. So she told me go buy a system! Woohoo! Then she added, "I want one too." I am not doing big subs or anything but I am going to put in some lightweight speakers. Might keep the stock head unit, but we shall see!

even if you just upgrade the rear sway, you'll be thrilled.

i got steering rack bushings for free, so i installed them. much better feel.

i would replace the stock head unit. it's the weak point. there's a thread on here somewhere about the stock speakers being good quality, but underpowered.

I concur. As long as he has the premium, which he does, the speakers are pretty decent. Upgrade that head unit and you should see a big difference. Something that has a good EQ.

I am looking into all these options. I went to Best Buy and the guy suggested upgrading the doors to Kickers and the headunit. So my plan is to go that route.

Update 2/23/11

Perrin Shorty antenna

Hella Supertones...Installed this weekend. Have to move them from current place. I don't like the way they look.

There is the wing.

Intake still not here. I will be making some calls today about it whereabouts.

Bad news:

Got a nasty leak somewhere. Removed the boost gauge last night. Thinking it would fix the problem. Got to looking under the hood and found the hose going to the intercooler kind of loose and oil residue on the tube. Notice Sunday when I removed the BOV flange a little oil build up inside the intercooler also. Is this normal? I am thinking not so much. So if it is an issue, the problem lies in the turbo hot side or cracked intercooler. Anyway, with the suspension I am going to buy a new 20G turbo, Turbo XS FMIC intercooler, Walbro 255 lph fuel pump, DW 850cc injectors, tgv deletes and grimmspeed ebcs. Don't think I am missing anything. My buddies has a trailer so the car will be trailer to Dallas to have Protune by a Cobb facility. I am looking at mid-March range. Don't think I missed anything.

You turbo seals are going if it's alot of oil.... Very little is normal blow-by.

Take your IC off and clean it up real good and give it a 1000 miles to see if it comes back... If it does, it's your seals.

Are you using 5-30? Also, get the Grimmspeed AOS... might help a bit if it's not too late.

As far as the 20G goes... get a Blouch.

Grimmspeed AOS added. Yes, Mobil 1 fully syn.

As for the Blouch, looking at 20G-XT. Good price. Or should I go ball bearing? Remember don't want to do internals.

Also looking at the Blouch 440XT Turbocharger
