Stoptech Big Brakes cleareance on Prodrive GT1 or GT2 wheels.

Hi all, i'm planning to buy:

Stoptech Front 355x32mm (14") brakes
http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/ch...41-2430-00.pdf

Stoptech Rear 345x28mm (13.6") brakes
http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/ch...41-2430-00.pdf

And I going to put:

Prodrive GT1 Wheels (18x7.5", 5x100)
18" Diameter
7.5" Width
+53mm Offset
5x100 Bolt Pattern
56.1mm Center Bore makes them hubcentric.

Can anyone help me to know if those big brakes will have cleareance using those new wheels? If no, could you suggest wheel that will accept with offset bigger than +50mm? The offset is because I don't want tire rubbing on fenders.

Thank you.

Rodrigo Ferrari.

Those brakes are actually lower than brembos (I assume you're getting ST-40). Clearance isn't that big a problem. I would also suggest you shop for a wider wheel. 18x7.5" limits you to 225/40R18 which is pretty narrow. Also, you might want to go with +48 offset, gives you more wheel choices. If you keep to a reasonable tire width, you shouldn't have clearance issues. When looking for wheels, find ones that work on a Subaru 2004 STi. They'll be 5x100 and should have plenty of clearance for your bigger brakes.

There are easily a thousand choices you could make. I'll pull one out for you:
O.Z. Alleggerita HLT
17x8" +48 (15.6 lbs)
235/40R17 tire

I would, on a brake recommendation, recommend you go with 04 STi brembos instead though. They may cost a bit more but it's a factory balanced setup for your car. The one you're suggesting is not front heavy enough (the WRX's weight distribution is not 50/50 by any stretch) and will probably hurt your stopping distances. The Brembos will deliver better track performance without bothering you on the street.

I am confused as to your goals though. You give very track oriented brakes and then an excruciatingly narrow wheel. Nobody who tracks their car would want tires that narrow. What are your goals?
