You can with OS as well. Just save your stock map...

os is opensource right? and can i just save the stock map to the programmer itself or does it have to be to my computer? and putting it back to stock wont hurt anything?

Paul: He is asking if he uses open source and saves the stock map where does he save it to. Which would be the computer. Putting the stock map back on via opensource or AP means you have to put all the parts back on that were switched out.

Where as the AP would save the stock map on the AP it's self. Same deal...just the AP is more compact.

alright thanks guys sounds like for me the ap is gonna be the more convenient. man this world is so much more comlex than my diesel was

Not really you have the same choices with this car as you do with a diesel. Now with diesels you have alot more aftermarket now because everyone is getting into them and getting away from cars...
