Silencer?

so i was looking for it seeing what all I would need for a delete and i got the airbox off and cant seem to find where it is. does anyone have any pictures or advice as to where it is at on a 09.

Im pretty sure it's on the inside of the fender. I know on the '07 and below is located in the fender and is white. You will need to take the tire off and the some of the plastic clip-on thingys off the liner to get to it.

There was nothing that was going into my fender from my airbox. Maybe I am just confused on what I should be looking for. =/

i thought they completely redid the intake for the 08s and 09s, im not sure you can just follow an 02-07 writeup on how to do it....your car may not even need it done

They did compleatly redo it but I am asuming there is still some form of silencer on it I can't find it though.

there is a silencer. its on the bottom of the airbox and you need to cut it out.

I looked at the little pipe/hole thing on the bottom of an air box but it doesn't look like anything but plastic to me.

So what is the conclusion then the STI has a silencer but not any of the WRX's? I know I sure don't have a white jug thing on thebottom of mine don't have axcess to look on an sti though.

That's what I got from the link as well. It does look like the wrx doesn't have one and the sti does.

Does anyone have an 08/09 sti that can confirm or deny this. I know that my 09 wrx doesn't lets hear it from some other people.
