Today I went to the base auto shop and installed my Cusco tow hook (easy) and my shifter bushings (more difficult). It took me about 2 hours total, but that's because I'm noob-slow. Had to take apart my Cobb Shortshifter from the top to get the shifter linkage down to remove the front rubber bushing. The rear bushing was ridiculous to get on, I had to stretch the new poly/rubber bushing to fit the 2 bolts and creep the bolts on a few threads at a time each side. Thought I crossthreaded them a few times, but eventually they went on smoothly. Frustrating to deal with that crazy shifter retaining ring too. My Harbor Freight retaining ring tool kept slipping and falling off. But, I prevailed in the end. Shifting is a little crisper, maybe a little less vibration.
