question about turbo timer harness adn running a line through the fire wall
hi i have a 2008 wrx and i am getting a turbo timer and there is a wiring harness that is a plug and play adn i was wondering if it says 04+ wrx if it would fit the 08 wrx adn does any one kno where the fire wall plug is so u can run a line for the boost gauge or any type of gauge is because i cant seem to find it please help
Why would it not work on an '08 ? It says 04+ WRX.
by that logic it'll also work on an 2018 model too? Obviously there's a huge risk the listing hasn't been updated with the SUBSTANTIALLY different 08s...
You do know that the turbo timer is just a bling mod unless you have a bigger turbo that needs it. I would sell it a save your money towards something else. IMO

...yeah, like gas. You're gonna be wasting around 30 seconds (+/-) worth of gas every time you turn your car off. Also, don't forget that'll be the most expensive premium high octane stuff, and I think I saw gas prices jump up 20 cents in my area today

I seem to remember some previous threads on this board that covered the extreme frustration with arming the alarm system (locking the car) and having the car running on a (turbo) timer. Search and destroy!

Yeah, I forgot, they changed all the harnesses and wiring in the 08's...... Shit.... Like that happened.
Is he referring to the Blitz? If you are, I didn't have a problem at all w/my 07. You all forget, TT's are used for more than just turning the car off.
1- in the winters I can go out, start it up and let it sit for however I want to warm it up.(instead of buying an automatic w/auto start)
2- Boost gauge is accurate as hell. <---cheaper than Defi's
3- Timer for lap times among others
4- peak boost hold
5- You can set the warning to let you know if you boost spike.
I'm sure there is more I haven't used, tried.
I really like mine. Not that it gets as cold as it does elsewhere.
