I have my 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX, and my car passenger door will not open i tried many times by inserting key to unlock it but no luck. It seems that the cable broke at the door latch but not sure. so i need a locksmith who can fix this issue if anyone knows about it kindly suggest me from here.
There must be problem with the solenoid because solenoids in each of the doors that activate the door lock mechanism. So there must be problem with the wiring. So Locksmith can't be able to repair this you should visit mechanic to fix that issue.
If your solenoids fire then it's not electrical. Sounds more like you need to pull the panel off and either lube or replace the linkage inside. After I got my wagon painted the passenger front door handles wouldn't go back in and when trying to lock/unlock the door it wouldn't always work.
You will need to either remove the dash to allow enough room to pop the panel off or take it to the dealer.
I think there may be several reasons for the malfunctioning of passenger door locks. You must check batteries because sometimes low batteries is also the reason of passenger door locks. In such weird situation one must have the detail of emergency Locksmith.
take the door card off and inspect the mechanism. it just might be something is disconnected. you might not need a locksmith at all.
