Opinions on Subaru's WRX STI exhaust upgrade

Hi, I'm about to order a 2012 WRX STI hatchback and the dealer is only charging me $500 over invoice, which includes any options at invoice. I'm trying to decide whether or not to purchase their performance exhaust upgrade. I'm sure there are better 3rd party exhaust systems, but I'm not sure if I could get the same deal as invoice for Subaru's version. I also plan on doing a Cobb stage 1 ECU upgrade.

So has anyone here purchased Subaru's exhaust upgrade? Any comments? Anyone know expected HP gains?

Thanks!

Yeah its just a catback exhaust. Won't give any hp at all just the cool sound. The stage 1 upgrade will be nice for you though

Look elsewhere for the cat back - they're just about looks and sound. Put your money in the Stage 1 reflash.

If they would give you the SPT exhaust at "cost", that would be worth it IMO. The stock exhaust sounds great but the SPT sounds that much better. There are plenty of clips on youtube to listen to. Congrats on your soon to be purchase!
