Word... PnP wrx heads should outflow stock STi heads, but they still have dual AVCS compared to only single AVCS on the WRX.

Local girl just topped 500 whp. She has $15,000 invested in her longblock alone.

Interesting info. And yes... I have been to Subaru's website and other sites doing a bit of research. I am just trying to get everyone's input based on experience so thank you all for your responses because it all helps.

I am NOT buying this to do street racing, tickets are too expensive and I don't want to die. I just like having a nice quick car and I enjoy the build process.

Quick update on the car though... I test drove it and after the test drive popped the hood. I got a whiff of sweet coolant, which freaked me out. I don't want to mess with a car that could have serious issues as a result of faulty cooling. So, I'm hunting for another one.

Anyone know what a 400whp WRX will do 0-60 in?

Really, if you're going to build it anyways, buy an 06-07 STi and be done with it.

Save 5-6 k minimum on the transmission
Better turbo layout if you want to stick with a larger tmic
Better suspension
Better wheels
Better brakes

400-500 whp and you definatly should run a FMIC. I'll admit that much...its a bigger and will flow better up front. I'm still considering it...

The engine build will be necessary....long block build. Not just the bottom end.

Am i the only one who after reading all of these posts is beginning to wonder if we are all arming someone with just enough info to be dangerous and potentially kill themselves or someone else? Maybe im wrong but knowledge is scary and/or deadly in the wrong hands!

We're probably talking to somebody wanting more description to flush out his cyber-fantasy of a super fast car. We get the enjoyment of talking about actual specifics and comparing notes and the OP gets to virtually masturbate their mind to the car they'll probably never build.
