New 2011 WRX, what BOV should I get?

Hey all,

I just recently bought a 2011 Blue WRX Hatchback 4 days ago. I'm looking to put on a BOV, but didnt know which brand/kind of BOV would be good. I want to be noticed, but dont want a RFL. Also, is there an advantage of putting a true BOV to atmoshere compared to putting on a Hybrid 50/50? I want to do whats best for the car, since this will be the first mod with stock psi.

Thanks for the help!! Thumbs Up

The best thing for the car is don't get a BOV, plain and simple. They cause the car to run like crap. If you want to hear the stock bypass valve (BPV), get an intake. Then go ahead and get an aftermarket downpipe and get the car tuned.

I wanted an aftermarket BOV too when I first purchased my car, but after some reading, I decided against it for a variety of reasons.

Its not that cool after awhile. At least I dont believe so. There are moments I wish the engine of my car were a little quieter (between the Cobb inake noise and the Cobb XLE BPV), its gets annoying to me.

Dang... Didn't know that turbo needed two wastegates... I figured the larger the turbo generally the less exhaust gasses you have to bypass.

I like my RFL and ill soon like my EWG that comes in today. However it can get old but I have no problem shifting slower and having the RPMs lower which produces zero extra noise. Pretty easy to drive around the sound.
