target boost? tapering to? timing? IDC? fuel and elevation?

just curious so i know how that dyno reads. not to bad with the stock CBE still on. max TQ at about 3700 i see? a CBE will drop that down closer to 3000. open the manifolds and UP and she may even drop below 3000 rpm. everything else will increase. i love to see a before and after still. if anything just do the manifolds and UP so people know what really happens with PnP headers. good job

it has a spt cat back. the tuner said he could do alot more with a aftermarket inter cooler. its 22.5psi tapered to 15 at redline he said. the 09's have a shitty inter cooler with plastic housing and the tabs pop up at higher boost. so im gonna get a front mount and a slightly larger turbo and let him mess with it again down the line

umm 22.5psi? theres no way. you should be putting down way more power, injectors will be maxed to the moon, and the end caps long blow off above 18psi and leaking of the stock BPV! no way on earth id let a setup like that run that high of boost. you might want to search around and realized that isnt safe at all!

also he said he could do a lot more? an intercooler isnt gonna do anything since 22-23psi is max for that turbo. injectors could help more boost up top so you dont have to taper to 15psi but man that all sounds sketchy.

you could have heard him right. all im saying is my tuner has seen stock intercoolers blow above 18psi and BPV leak, so be careful till you get it upgraded! also your IDC can run as high as 110%. i know that sounds weird but to get real calculations of IDC theres a hole bunch of math the car doesnt read. its about 10% off so 110% IDC is like 100%. again all im saying is be careful. maxing injectors out can be a bad idea. one little slip up of pushing to hard on an injector, that cylinder runs lean and BOOM it goes. it can seriously happen in the blink of an eye! if you have an AP or way to log IDC just check it out. a tuner that values your car and wants it to run long and safe normally only allows for 90% IDC. have a blast other wise!

Hell I'm worried about running 18.5 psi and running out of injector after I put my EWG on tonight... I was seeing 89% on my current setup, but now that I'll be holding boost longer, it may get up and over 95% real quick. If that's the case Injector Dynamics 1000cc's are on the way.

good choice on the injectors, when I upgrade mine those will be the ones. The lag time is so low that the car should still idle like stock and have enough flow in reserve for e85 if you want.

My tuner runs them and they do idle like stock. Pretty awesome setup and he's running E85 on his STi and only sees 60% IDC.
